CPH Contemporary Back with Art Megastars

It's a new time for modern art in Copenhagen with CPH Contemporary back in new, huge spaces at the hip, upcoming area Refshaleøen. The first exhibition just opened featuring world-renowned Danish art group SUPERFLEX.

Lovers of modern art have a good list of places to go when visiting Denmark, and after a short absence, CPH Contemporary is back and ready to be on top of the chart. With a brand new and more permanent setting in a former welding hall at Refshaleøen, they have also gained in size, becoming a perfect scenario for large-scale installations. It's very fitting indeed that the opening exhibition features the fantastic "One Two Three, Swing!" from Danish art collective SUPERFLEX.

The world-renowned group creates the most playful art that also challenges societal standards. In this exhibit collective swings serve as a metaphor of cooperative effort and a huge pendulum represents a common state of apathy. We can't wait to swing our way through this exhibit, that originally was made for the great Tate Modern in London.

Copenhagen Contemporary also cements their place in the art world with their other featured artist for the opening; American superstar Doug Aitken's and his incredible large-scale video installation "Song 1".
It's looking to be a very exciting new beginning for Copenhagen Contemporary!
